4-H Afterschool youth try STEM rover challenge

4-H Afterschool students at Cochrane-Fountain City school tried the 4-H STEM Challenge with the Mars rovers during the first week of November. Young people had the opportunity to tinker with the gears, wheels and axels to navigate their battery-powered rovers through a pathway. Youth used engineering skills while learning about how actual real life rovers explore Mars in space. The 4-H STEM Challenges were facilitated by 4-H Afterschool staff Brooke Allemann, Erika Meyer and Jacob Halper with each of the two pods of 4-H members.
