4-H camp counselors from Buffalo, Pierce, Pepin, Trempealeau and Jackson counties met virtually on Thursday, July 9 to learn more about teaching and leading campers via technology. The counselors will be working with 4-H Youth Development Educators and interns to conduct sessions for campers focused on environmental education and science in outdoor settings. Campers are receiving materials for lessons in a bag with learning activities like making a home for bees, dissecting owl pellets and engineering a paddle boat to float. Campers are also invited to engage with 4-H Camp Kinnissippewa staff in a campfire that will include camp songs, skits, games and creating their own s’mores!
Buffalo County 4-H Camp Kinnissippewa Counselors for 2020 are Brooke Putz and Julia Moats.
