4-H Dog Project members showcase talents

Kenmund Mehus of B-BC 4-H Club and active member in the Buffalo County 4-H Dog project spent time with Cochrane-Fountain City 4-H Afterschool students on September 26, 2019. In his football practice jersey, Kenmund and his mom Laurie showcased the talents of their two trained dogs, Cowgirl and Opie. 4-H Afterschool students were eager to learn more about the obedience and training that Kenmund and other 4-H dog project members practice with their pets in order to be ready for the Buffalo County Fair Dog Show. Youth observed the dogs, learned from Kenmund and had the opportunity to pet the animals, too! Laurie Mehus says that the 4-H Dog Project is a rewarding experience that has provided growth opportunities for skill building and socialization for both her sons and their dogs.
