READ ALL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!
Under current April 2021 COVID-19 guidelines, we need to limit the number of people onsite at one time to 20 or less and the total numbers served on one day to less than 150 people outdoors only. Therefore, registration for the Buffalo County Fair Sheep/Goat Weigh-in is required. Please complete one registration form per youth exhibitor.
Youth need to be actively enrolled in an approved youth organization like 4-H or FFA and in the sheep or goat project BEFORE April 1, 2021 and BEFORE the weigh in event.
This registration for weigh-in must be completed by April 16, 2021 at 4:30pm. No late registrations will be accepted.
Youth exhibitors will have the opportunity to participate in the weigh-in with their animals. Each youth exhibitor is allowed to participate along with one adult parent/guardian from the same household. If there is a need to have a driver that is not a member of the youth’s household, the youth may not travel with the driver. They can arrive separately and participate in the weigh in; however. No one that is not a registered youth exhibitor, registered parent/guardian or registered driver should be riding with to the weigh in or participating in the weigh in.
The registration assignments cannot be changed on day of the event. All youth and adults that register must be willing to follow all the guidelines for the weigh in, including participating in health check questions, remaining at least 6′ physical distance from others, not using shared materials and wearing a well-fitting face covering that covers the nose and mouth.
Each family will be assigned a time slot to unload and weigh their animals. Same day registrations will not be accepted. The family/driver will be asked to arrive only a few minutes before the family’s assigned time slot. Youth and drivers that arrive before their assigned time slot will be dismissed. Youth and drivers must remain in their vehicle until instructed to exit from the assigned volunteer. More information will be communicated via email before the event.
UW-Madison Division of Extension faculty, staff and volunteers may require that program participants leave a program, based on health concerns associated with COVID-19. Any individuals experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19, have had known contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or are awaiting COVID-19 testing results should not and cannot participate in this event.
The recorded weights will be emailed to exhibitors the week following the weigh-in via email.
