Wisconsin Student Vaping Trends

Learn more about teen vaping stats in Wisconsin from the last Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Buffalo County students participate in this survey every other year.

 

A teenager’s connection to school and community is vital. The Wisconsin Youth Risk Behavior Survey revealed that the less involved in school a young person is the more likely they are to vape. The Buffalo County high school data aligns with the state results.

Youth development research tells us and the vaping data from the Wisconsin Youth Risk Behavior Survey confirms that middle and high school students who have supportive teachers, parents, and other trusted adults in their lives are less likely to start vaping. In Buffalo County, county agencies, community organizations, and our local coalition understand this research and data and work to build protective factors for young people.
