4-H Members Attend Fall Forum

Hilltop Climbers 4-H club members and adult leaders attended Wisconsin 4-H Fall Forum.  Jaden and Jennifer Brenden along with Emma Pearl and Kathy Jardine traveled to Green Lake, WI in early November for the 3-day conference.

Fall Forum offers youth and adult leaders a statewide training experience to develop new skills and bring fresh ideas back to their local 4-H clubs. The conference, planned by a team of youth and adult volunteers from the Wisconsin 4-H Leaders Council with the support of county and state staff, provides a platform for 4-H youth and adult leaders to come together to connect, collaborate, celebrate, and continue building excitement and energy for a new year of 4-H learning.

A variety of learning sessions were available with Kathy Jardine teaching a session on Owl Pellet dissection.  Participants were able to determine which prey was eaten by the owls after identifying the bones in each pellet.

Emma Pearl Jardine: “I went to sessions on Alien Blood, Owl Pellet Dissection and Recreation. It was really fun to meet new people and learn new things. I also really liked the night activities, dance, board games and campfire. We did a lot of repeat after me songs at the campfire and I had a lot of fun.”

Jaden Brenden: “I went to the Crime Scene activity and the Wilderness activity. We were able to go outside and learn about animal tracks. I had a lot of fun and met new people. The food was really good.”
