We are excited to share that Bianca Mullen has stepped into the role of 4-H Associate Educator for Buffalo County. Bianca has been a vital part of our 4-H program for the past three and a half years as the 4-H Program Assistant, and her transition into this new role reflects both her dedication and her deep connection to the community she calls home.
As a Buffalo County native, Bianca brings firsthand understanding of the people, values, and partnerships that make this area so special. Her journey with Extension began in high school through a 4-H Afterschool program, an experience that sparked her passion for youth development and community engagement. After graduating from Minnesota State College Southeast in 2022, Bianca returned to Extension with the goal of supporting the youth, volunteers, and families who make 4-H such a meaningful part of life in Buffalo County.
Bianca believes strongly that 4-H is at its best when it’s built as a true partnership. She values the ideas, voices, and experiences of the leaders, volunteers, families, and community members who help shape the program. She is excited to continue building relationships, listening to the needs of the community, and creating opportunities for shared growth. Whether it’s dreaming up new programming, exploring youth “sparks,” or strengthening long-standing traditions, she looks forward to working side-by-side with everyone who supports the success of our young people.
In her new role, Bianca will focus on expanding meaningful experiences for 4-H members, fostering environments where youth can explore interests, grow confidence, and create lifelong memories. She is committed to collaborating with families, volunteers, educators, and partners to ensure that Buffalo County 4-H remains vibrant.
Outside of work, Bianca is a wife to her high school sweetheart, Brandon, and mom to their 8 1/2 month old daughter, Gia. She finds joy in simple, grounding moments—fresh-air walks, a good cup of coffee, lots of laughter, and spending time with the people she loves.
Bianca is always happy to connect—whether you have questions, ideas, feedback, or simply want to chat about ways to help youth thrive. She welcomes conversations, collaboration, and community involvement, knowing that 4-H is strongest when we build it together.
Please join us in congratulating Bianca on this exciting next step.
