Youth gathered on July 7, 2026, for a morning full of creativity, friendship, and hands-on learning during Art in the Park 2026. Held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m at the Alma Legion, the program provided participants with a variety of engaging activities that encouraged both artistic expression and teamwork.
Throughout the morning, youth explored several hands-on projects, including creating colorful seed mosaics, painting and planting their own decorative flower pots, and participating in exciting LEGO building challenges. These activities allowed participants to use their creativity while developing problem-solving and fine motor skills.
Participants also enjoyed preparing their own tasty dirt cups and refreshing ocean punch, adding a fun culinary element to the day’s activities.
In addition to the art and STEM-inspired projects, youth took part in a variety of group games that encouraged cooperation, communication, and active play. The combination of creative projects and outdoor recreation made for an energetic and engaging experience for everyone involved.
Art in the Park provided local youth with opportunities to learn, create, and build connections through positive, hands-on experiences. We are grateful to all the participants, families, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this year’s event a success.
We look forward to seeing everyone again at future 4-H youth programs!
A special thank you to the Alma American Legion for generously providing their space for Art in the Park 2026. Your support helped make this fun-filled morning of creativity, learning, and community possible!
