Buffalo County 4-H Youth Boost Animal Care Expertise with YQCA Certification

More than 40 Buffalo County 4-H meat animal project members were trained in the national Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) requirements by certified trainer, Buffalo County 4-H Youth Development Educator, Annie Lisowski, on Wednesday, March 26 in Mondovi. The youth practiced discussing life skills and learned more about animal wellness and animal safety. The curriculum also covered topics like meat cuts, the connection between producers and consumers, and the importance of keeping records and daily observations of your beef, goat, lamb, chicken, or swine meat animal.
