Celebrating Abigail George’s Continued Service to Buffalo County 4-H

This award recognizes an individual who has shown exceptional service to Buffalo County 4-H and the community through a longstanding commitment to community service and making a positive impact.

The 2025 Buffalo County 4-H Alumni Award was presented on January 18, 2026, at the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders’ Association Meeting in Alma. Abby George, of the Hilltop Climbers 4-H Club, was honored with the recognition plaque by the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders’ Association.

Abby is someone the 4-H community can always rely on. She consistently steps in when help is needed, brings fresh ideas to the table, and provides a calm, steady presence during busy or challenging moments. Over the years, Abby has generously mentored youth in a variety of project areas, including beef and photography, helping young people build both skills and confidence.

A strong advocate for 4-H and the Buffalo County Fair, Abby is passionate about ensuring youth have access to as many meaningful opportunities as possible. Her service includes volunteering to take photographs at the awards program, serving as a superintendent for project check-in, and creating beautiful banners recognizing market, breed, and showmanship livestock winners. Each contribution reflects her dedication, creativity, and deep care for the 4-H program.

The 4-H Alumni Award is a long-standing tradition in Buffalo County, sponsored by the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders’ Association, and honors individuals who continue to give back to the program that shaped them. Buffalo County 4-H youth, volunteers, and leaders are proud to recognize Abby George as a 2025 recipient and to welcome her into the distinguished group of honored 4-H alumni.
