Cheerful Workers 4-H Spread Holiday Cheer with Wish Tags & Handmade Gifts

December 7, 2025 — Lyster Parish Hall

The Cheerful Workers 4-H Club met on Sunday, December 7 at 11:30 AM at the Lyster Parish Hall. We began with a warm lunch prepared by the families in attendance — hot soup, sandwiches, dessert, and a few extra fixings gave us energy on a cold day as we got to work.

We had four Wish Tags from Alliance Bank. Our families pitched in to buy gifts from each child’s wish list, and we got them all wrapped and ready for delivery. New this year was a tag we took for a Family Activity Box; we used the $50 VISA card we received as a reward for our community service during 4-H Week to purchase it — we were happy to do so!

After wrapping gifts, we held a brief business meeting. Following the meeting we made tealight snowmen and ornaments to share with grandparents, neighbors, shut-ins, and residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

We had a busy couple of hours and left ready to spread some holiday cheer!
