This recognition is given to individuals, organizations, or businesses that have significantly contributed to the 4-H program. It highlights their dedication, support, and meaningful impact on both the program and local youth.
The 2025 Friend of Buffalo County 4-H Award was presented to the Gilmanton Community Club on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders’ Association Meeting. The award was accepted by Ashley Henthorn on behalf of the Gilmanton Community Club and presented by the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders’ Association.
This recognition honors the Gilmanton Community Club for its many years of dedicated support, promotion, and sponsorship of Buffalo County 4-H. Through their partnership with the Gilmanton Free Fair, the Club has generously hosted an annual opportunity for 4-H youth to showcase their project talents, helping to celebrate the hard work, creativity, and growth of young people in the community.
In addition, the Gilmanton Community Club offers prizes to encourage 4-H club participation in the Sunday parade, further promoting 4-H and youth involvement throughout the community. Their continued commitment creates meaningful opportunities for youth and strengthens the connection between 4-H and the broader community.
