The Golden Hornets 4-H Club is making a difference in the community through a new service project focused on helping local families in need. Club members voted to collect non-perishable food items at each meeting throughout the year and donate them to the local food shelf.
At the club’s recent meeting, members brought in their first round of donations, filling a collection area with food items that will soon be delivered to support community members. The project gives youth an opportunity to learn about service, generosity, and the importance of helping others.
The food drive is just one way Goldem Hornets 4-H members are putting the 4-H pledge into action through hands-on service and community involvement. The club plans to continue collecting non-perishable items at future meetings and encourages members to keep supporting this effort throughout the year.
