Golden Hornets 4-H Club members met on May 17th at the cabin of Loren and Ruth Wolfe for their monthly meeting. Members enjoyed learning about the history of the club from Loren, who served as a club leader for 20 years after taking over from his father, original leader Anton Wolfe, in 1968. The Golden Hornets 4-H Club was founded in 1950 and has been an active part of the community for over 75 years.
Members and families enjoyed an afternoon of fishing in Wolfe’s Pond, along with a potluck lunch during the gathering. Members are also looking forward to a special 75th anniversary celebration with a reunion of past members on August 15 at Suncrest Gardens.
