The Wisconsin State Fair is hiring agriculture staff for the 2026 fair!
Details:
- 📅 Dates: August 3–16
- 💵 Pay: $17.50/hour
- 🍽️ Lodging & meals may be available
- 👤 Must be at least 16 years old
- ⏰ Flexible hours possible
Responsibilities include:
- Directing truck, trailer, and fairgoer traffic
- Supporting draft horse show activities
- Assisting with behind-the-scenes setup
- Being part of a fun, fast-paced fair environment

🐄 Volunteer Group Opportunity – Discovery Barnyard
Calling 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, and community groups!
The Wisconsin State Fair is seeking agriculture-focused groups to serve as a “Discovery Barnyard Group of the Day.”
What your group will do:
- Educate fairgoers about Wisconsin agriculture
- Help staff with interactive exhibits and animal areas
- Engage in hands-on learning experiences with the public
Volunteer Requirements:
- Provide 14 volunteers for one full day (9:30 AM – 9:30 PM) during Aug. 6–16
- Volunteers rotate through shifts to allow breaks and time to enjoy the fair
- At least 2 adults (21+) must serve as group contacts

- 🚗 Parking for up to 3 vehicles
- 💲 $1,000 stipend for your group
