🚜 Paid Agriculture Staff Positions

The Wisconsin State Fair is hiring agriculture staff for the 2026 fair!

Details:

  • 📅 Dates: August 3–16
  • 💵 Pay: $17.50/hour
  • 🍽️ Lodging & meals may be available
  • 👤 Must be at least 16 years old
  • ⏰ Flexible hours possible

Responsibilities include:

  • Directing truck, trailer, and fairgoer traffic
  • Supporting draft horse show activities
  • Assisting with behind-the-scenes setup
  • Being part of a fun, fast-paced fair environment

🐄 Volunteer Group Opportunity – Discovery Barnyard

Calling 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, and community groups!

The Wisconsin State Fair is seeking agriculture-focused groups to serve as a “Discovery Barnyard Group of the Day.”

What your group will do:

  • Educate fairgoers about Wisconsin agriculture
  • Help staff with interactive exhibits and animal areas
  • Engage in hands-on learning experiences with the public

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Provide 14 volunteers for one full day (9:30 AM – 9:30 PM) during Aug. 6–16
  • Volunteers rotate through shifts to allow breaks and time to enjoy the fair
  • At least 2 adults (21+) must serve as group contacts

  • 🚗 Parking for up to 3 vehicles
