On June 20th the annual Buffalo County 4-H Horse Project Gymkhana Clinic was hosted at the Double H Arena. 4-H members worked with Katie Heitman and Karen Scott to develop their horsemanship skills. A unique characteristic of this clinic is that members were able to create a list of abilities they wanted to improve on and then clinicians worked on these abilities with them. 4-H members that participated included: Olivia Taylor, Alison George, Emma Pronschinske, Korbyn Johnvin, Violet Nogle and
High school students who are trained to as Buffalo/Pepin County Teen Court panel members ask questions of their peers with a violation with the intent to change behavior, repair relationships and restore young people’s image. Youth from Durand, Alma, and Cochrane-Fountain City school districts conducted a hearing at the Pepin County Government Center on July 25th.
