4 stations and participants move between 4-H Art Sparks activities at their own choice.
3D printing – provides an interactive way to explore concepts in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Participants learn to use 3D modeling software and operate 3D printers, gaining valuable technical skills. Youth will be able to pick out a design and watch it get printed to see if they have a Spark for 3D printing.
3D Print Pens – 3D pens are an exciting and innovative tool that allows participants to bring their ideas to life by creating three-dimensional objects freehand. These pens extrude heated plastic, which cools and hardens quickly, allowing users to draw structures in the air. This engaging activity encourages creativity, spatial awareness, and hands-on learning.
Spin Art – is an engaging and interactive art project where participants create unique works of art using paint and the magic of centripetal force. By placing paint on a spinning surface, such as a vinyl record or a specially designed spin art machine, participants can create beautiful and mesmerizing designs. Youth will be able to make a spin art cavass to take home with them.
Sewing Service Project -youth will be able to sew a pillowcase to be donated for the Buffalo County 4-H Service-Learning project (Sleep in Heavenly Peace) where 4-H members can give back to make sure that all children have a bed to sleep in and clean bedding.
A spark is a passion for a self-identified interest or skill, or a capacity that metaphorically lights a fire in a young person’s life, providing energy, joy, purpose, and direction.
