On July 10th and 17th Mondovi area 4-H members participated in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) Discovery Days at Mirror Lake Park! The first day of STEAM consisted of making balloon rockets, foil transfer art, a paper stairs challenge, Picasso 3D art, bubble blowers, splatter painting with straws, building bridges with marshmallows and toothpicks, and participating in the challenge Pickup Sticks. Youth who participated developed their skills not only in STEAM but also in teamwork, communication and time management.

The second day of STEAM had eight new engaging activities. Young people created straw airplanes, rainbow spectroscopes, sun paintings, completed a creativity challenge, paper circuits, tower buildings, mathematical arrays, and fire tile art. Check out some of the awesome things they did below!
