The Golden Hornets 4-H club traveled to the International Owl Center in Houston, Minnesota, to close out National 4-H Week. The visit was an excellent opportunity for members to learn about owls and their habitats, behavior, and conservation efforts. Club members participated in an educational session, where they introduced different species of owls and were able to see live owls up close, observing their unique features and behaviors.
In addition to exploring the center, we held a club meeting where members enjoyed pizza and ice cream. During the meeting, we planned our next community service project where each 4-H member family will receive $30.00 to purchase items for the Hope 4U annual Christmas giving trees. This initiative allows us to give back to the community and support families in need during the holiday season.
The trip was a fun and educational way to conclude National 4-H Week, and we are excited to carry the spirit of service forward in our upcoming activities!
