Buffalo County 4-H Division of Extension attended the 40th Annual Buffalo County National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th at Gilmanton High School, 500 Buffalo County youth attended this event. National Night Out is a community building campaign that incorporates police to community partnerships and neighborhood safety. National Night Out solidifies the bond with law enforcement and the community. Buffalo County 4-H Division of Extension staff facilitated the activity of fire tiles where an individual colors on a ceramic tile with permanent marker, applies drops of rubbing alcohol onto the tile, then they are set on fire and watch the colors blend together. Hundreds of young people and their families passed though the booth making unique tiles. Fire tiles were a success! Check out some of the photos of process and finished fire tile art!
