4-H Volunteer of the Year is Jennifer Sandberg of Lucky 16 4-H

Jennifer Sandberg was awarded the 2023 4‑H Volunteer of the Year Award at the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders Meeting on January 21, 2024. The Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a 4-H Leader who has gone “above and beyond” their 4-H responsibilities, has performed an excellent job as a 4-H leader on the club or county level, and provides outstanding support, guidance, and leadership to 4-H members.

Sandberg was selected as the 4-H Volunteer of the Year for her dedication to Buffalo County 4-H and the Lucky 16 4-H club for many years. Foremost,  Jennifer is one of the organizational leaders of the Lucky 16 4-H club in Mondovi. As 4-H club leader she ensures youth have opportunities to engage in 4-H service-learning, including regularly contributing to the Mondovi Backpack program. In addition, Sandberg has served as the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders Association Vice President and President. In this role she provided strong leadership for county policies and programs, including serving as a reviewer for 4-H resume interviews, assisting in starting new fundraiser efforts, and supporting upgrades to the Buffalo County 4-H Food Stand.

The Buffalo County 4-H Leaders’ Association is very proud to honor Jennifer Sandberg as the 2023 honoree of the 4-H Volunteer of the Year Award.
