Beth Pehler receives Buffalo County 4-H alumni award

The 2023 Buffalo County 4-H Alumni Award was awarded at the Buffalo County Courthouse in Alma on January 21, 2024. Beth Pehler of Glencoe Hustlers 4-H was presented with the recognition plaque by her fellow 4-H club members. The 4-H Alumni Award traditionally recognizes a 4-H alumnus or current volunteer that has made an educational impact on the lives of 4-H members. This award is also awarded to outstanding 4-H volunteers, leaders, or community members who are dedicated to the Buffalo County 4-H program.

Beth Pehler was selected as the honorary 4-H alumni for 2023. Pehler has served in leadership roles in her 4-H club and on the county level, helping both 4-H programs thrive. Pehler is a strong supporter of 4-H travel experiences, 4-H project work opportunities, and 4-H service-learning efforts. In the last couple of years, Beth has dedicated extra hours and support to the Buffalo County 4-H Food Stand, including set-up and clean up efforts and preparing 500 pounds of meat product to meet food safety guidelines. Her leadership and dedication has resulted in increased financial support for young people and their families in Buffalo County 4-H.

The 4-H Alumni Award is a long-standing tradition of recognition in Buffalo County and is sponsored by the Buffalo County 4-H Leaders Association. 4-H youth and adults are proud to add Beth Pehler to their ranks of recognized 4-H alumni.
