Students in Mr. Holt’s sixth grade classroom at Cochrane-Fountain City school utilized their critical thinking skills to code mini robots on January 27th and January 28th. Buffalo/Pepin County Teen Court panel members worked with two families at the Buffalo County Courthouse on Wednesday, January 8th. They asked youth with violations restorative questions to help them repair relationships and make things right with those they have harmed. The panel members were from Pepin, Alma, and Cochrane-Fountain City school districts. Families expressed that they are very appreciative of the restorative approach to developing requirements to help rethink decisions and change behavior.
On December 15th the Hilltop Climbers 4-H club had a fun filled meeting with holiday and winter activities, caroling and a potluck dinner. 4-H members made ornaments and packed treats for the backpack program at the Mondovi school.
